With its completely modernized interior and numerous innovations, the G-Class technically and formally makes the biggest change in its almost
40-year history - and remains faithful to it.
Today's iconic elements perform very specific functions and give the G-Class its unique look. They can also be found in the new G-Class:
the striking door handle and the characteristic closing noise, the robust outer protective strip, the exposed spare wheel on the rear door
and the eye-catching turn signals. It is these extraordinary details that give the off-roader in conjunction with the edgy silhouette its
special look.

Among other things, the clear, geometric shapes testify to the modern interpretation of a legend: those who get into the G-Class will find
design elements of the exterior. Such as the shape of the round headlights, which is reflected in the side vents. Or the design of the iconic
turn signals found in the speakers.

Typical for the G-Class are the grab handle in front of the front passenger or the switches for the differential locks positioned in the field
of view and highlighted in chrome. Both were meticulously optimized and remain as formative elements.
The G-Class driver can operate the entire infotainment without taking his hands off the steering wheel. The touch-sensitive touch controls on the
steering wheel react to swiping movements like the surface of a smartphone. Thanks to haptic impulses and additional feedback via loudspeaker, the
driver can use the touchpad without taking his eyes off the road. Direct keys in front of the controller for frequent operating tasks as well as the
optional control panel for the driver assistance systems above the light rotary switch complete the input options. Driver or driver sit close to the windscreen and enjoy a very good visibility behind the wheel.

The extra clear and completely redesigned instrument panel includes standard timeless analogue tubes as round instruments. Fans of classic round
instruments will not be disappointed in the new G-Class. As in the new E- and S-Class, a large display with virtual instruments in the driver's direct
field of vision as well as a central display above the center console can be used as an instrument cluster on request. Visually, two 12.3-inch displays
merge under a common cover glass into a widescreen cockpit. The rider can choose between three different styles - "Classic", "Sport" and "Progressive" -
as well as individually configure the relevant information and views.
With its unmistakable character and high-quality equipment, the G-Class has always combined off-road and luxury with great consistency. Even as standard,
the G-Class looks classically elegant with timeless and authentic open-pored wood trim. The stylish details include the generously used, high-quality trim
elements made of metal or carbon as well as the leather seats.
"At the Schöckl, every G-Class has to prove itself." This motto was also at the top of the specifications in the redesign of the off-road classic. This
refers to the local mountain in Graz, Graz, the Mercedes-Benz for the hard - some say: relentless - uses off-road testing and must overcome the SUV. Therefore,
each "G" graces a Schöckl badge at the foot of the B-pillar as a seal of approval.

The doors are very solid, here comes the "G" typical functionality to fruition. The storage concept has been completely redesigned and, with numerous new storage
areas, ensures that everything has its place. So under the armrest is an illuminated compartment for snacks from chewing gum to handkerchiefs to sunglasses.
As an optional extra, a wireless charging station can be selected here. In front of the touchpad in the center console are two removable cupholders and a spontaneous
shelf. A 1.0 liter water bottle can be stowed in the rear doors. The backrest of the rear seat is free in the interior for maximum variability and better visibility
in the rear side window.
The standard audio system has seven speakers. As an option, the Burmester® surround sound system with 16 speakers and a 590-watt amplifier with digital sound processing
is offered.
Not only the drivers, but also the passengers in the second row benefit from the new dimensions of the grown G-Class.
The most important data at a glance:
Legroom front + 38 mm
Legroom at the back + 150 mm
Shoulder room front + 38 mm
Shoulder room at the back + 27 mm
Elbow width front + 68 mm
Elbow width rear + 56 mm
The rear seats can be folded down to 60, 40 or 100 percent. As standard, the seats of the G-Class are equipped with numerous comfort functions. These include,
for example, the memory function for the driver's seat, heated seats front and rear and the comfort head restraints at the front. This driving comfort can be further
increased on request with the Active Multicontour Seat Package. In addition to the special multicontour seats, it includes various massage functions, seat air
conditioning as well as a quick seat heating. In addition, this variant offers an electrically adjustable lumbar support for driver and front passenger. In the
lateral areas of the seat supports and backrests of the active multi-contour seats air chambers are integrated, which are filled or emptied depending on the driving
dynamics to better support the driver and passenger in their seating positions and for example to provide more lateral support when cornering. The front seats of the
Active Multicontour Seat Package are recommended by the experts of the "Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V.". The seats come from the current E-Class W213.
Extras for the G-Class: two exclusive equipment packages
There are so many variants for the new G-Class that hardly any off-road vehicle is like the other. This large variety of equipment is made possible by the high manual
proportion in production as well as the fact that designo manufaktur sizes have already been integrated into the standard equipment variants. As standard, passengers
take on Lugano leather seats in black, nut brown or macchiatobeige place. In addition, there are two high-quality equipment packages to choose from: the exclusive
interior and the exclusive interior Plus. There are a total of seven colors available for the exclusive interior. Three of them are made of fine black nappa leather
combinations and the designo manufactory colors platinum white, yacht blue or classic red. The package also includes the black designo headliner microfibre DINAMICA
and air vents in silvershadow. The Exclusive Interior Plus includes additional nappa leather elements such as the door panels, center console parts, instrument panel
and all upholstery. A special feature is the seat design with dynamic diamond quilting. With this package, customers can choose between designo shades black, espresso
brown and classic red. For the first time, a consistently bright interior in macchiatobeige - from the floor to the headliner - available.
The sporty AMG Line can be combined with all three variants. In black seats, contrasting red decorative seams on seats, dashboard, doors and center console as well
as red straps come into play. This fits the extra sporty down-flattened steering wheel, which is available for the first time for the G-Class.
